Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Our school's equality and diversity objective for 2025/2026 is:
To ensure all staff are aware of their duties under the Equality Act 2010 and are aware of how to report any discriminatory incidents or practices.
We have chosen this objective:
- To ensure our staff understand their duties in relation to good equality practices.
- To allow staff and children opportunities to develop themselves we we continue to develop and expand on our No Outsiders Programme at the school
We plan to achieve this objective by:
- Using staff meeting time to cover the issues in depth.
- Develop everyday assemblies which help children with their spiritual, moral, social and cultural beliefs.
- Embedding the whole school No Outsiders programme.
Diversity and Equality in Our School
At Pakefield Primary School, we strive to improve the lives of our children and families. We celebrate the rich diversity in our world and ensure we respect each others protected characteristics and differences such as race, religion, gender identity, disabilities.
Every child is unique and we celebrate all of our children and their families without discrimination. In doing so we believe that our community will be happier and more successful.
We use a carefully planned PSHE curriculum supported by the PSHE Association and our ‘No Outsiders’ program, which teaches the Equality Act through a series of high quality picture books and honest discussions. Everyone is welcome at Pakefield Primary School.
