Dragonflies had a fabulous afternoon meeting different animals! The children were introduced to chinchillas, bearded dragons and a snake as well as many others!

Butterflies have had a brilliant afternoon meeting lots of different animals from Our Animal World. They were very quiet and sensible. We met a frog, lizards, a millipede and a chinchilla amongst other things 😀🦋

Turtles had a great time with our visitors from Our Animal World! We got to see a Chinchilla, a Salamander, Tortoise and a pair of Chameleons. We got to hold and stroke some of the animals and found out lots about them.

Sharks finished off their gymnastics unit in PE this week by putting together a routine. We used all of the things we have been learning and introduced a start and finishing position too! Well done sharks🦈

Something is incubating in Year 2 ............ The children have been looking after their eggs by either sitting on them or making sure their chairs are tucked under at all times. I wonder might happen tomorrow.

The Dragonflies have had a wonderful share afternoon focussed on looking after our planet. They have made polar bears, junk model robots, earth hugs and promise cards. Thank you to all of our grown ups for coming in to help 🌍

The Pandas have been performing their musical ideas over scenes from 'Wallace and Gromit's A Close Shave'. They really thought carefully about the themes: love, action, danger, sadness, the chase and tension.

Football lesson on the field today to finish off our football unit. Great tournament Pandas - well done to Team 3 for coming first. Although every single child improved and worked as a team.

Bake Sale! All money raised goes towards opportunities for our children moving forward! The last bake sale was a huge success - it would be great if we could replicate that again this time!

Bumblebees developed their gross motor skills as they enjoyed playing on the adventure playground with their friends. They did lots of climbing, balancing, jumping and running!

Bumblebees have enjoyed exploring the outdoor environment in the beautiful spring sunshine this week! We went for a spring walk and also looked for bugs, blossom, nests and birds out on the field. We collected daisies and worked together to retrieve a big branch stuck in the trees! The children used their senses and talked about what they could see, feel and hear.

Sharks have enjoyed a nice end to the week. We’ve had non-uniform and crazy hair in aid of Red Nose Day. This afternoon everyone has been decorating their structures for DT and singing along to some calypso music!🦈

Butterflies won the attendance race today and have enjoyed their time on the adventure playground to celebrate. Look at them practising their gymnastics jumps, balances and safe landings too! 😀🦋

Butterflies have had a fun afternoon. We've used glitter as germs to learn to wash our hands more affectively, investigated different sorts of exercise and discussed how to keep ourselves healthy. 😀🦋

🐨A busy week in Koalas: making and testing different circuits in science, gymnastics in PE, freeze framing in RE and learning about digital wellbeing in PSHE and computing.🐨

Did you see our Junior Road Safety Officers out and about this morning? Today they were out greeting people as they arrived at school and handing out stickers! As part of our Big Walk and Wheels challenge, don’t forget to keep looking out for our animals. Have you spotted any yet?

Excellent working scientifically in the Pandas class yesterday. They were finding out how changing different components affected their circuits.

Turtles enjoyed a special visit from a farmer and one of their JCB’s. The children enjoyed finding out about what they use it for and asked lots of questions! They even got to sit in it and press the horn!

Today the Butterflies have become word surgeons looking at which letters to remove from a word when using an apostrophe. They were superstars ⭐

In Dragonflies we have started to learn about mass! We have been learning how to use different equipment and how to read the mass of items using cubes, grams and kilograms.

Butterflies have been sorting animals by asking questions that have either a yes or a no answer. We enjoyed using this form of questioning to play Guess Who too. 😀🦋

🐨Koalas are enjoying their tennis unit in PE, we have been focusing on our forehand and accuracy. This week we had the added challenge of a net and trying to have a rally! 🐨
