School Day

Our school day here at Pakefield is as follows:

Nursery Hours

• Nursery AM - 8.40am to 11.40am

Start of School Day (Reception to Year 6)

• School begins at 8.40am

• At 8.35am a bell will ring or a whistle will be blown

• Teachers will be on the playground to meet their children
   
• Children will enter the school building at the designated entrances and make their way to their class
   
• Children should not be on the school grounds before 8.30am as they are not supervised
   
• Due to safeguarding, health & safety issues, we appreciate parents leaving their child at their point of entry to the school

Lunchtime Breaks

• Years 1 & 2 - 11.30am - 12.30pm
• Reception, Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 - 11.50am to 12.50pm

End Of School Day

• School ends at 3.05pm

School Closures

The school plans to remain open in all but the most exceptional circumstances. The school may be closed due to localised flooding or adverse weather conditions such as heavy snow.

However, if it is necessary to close or partially close the school the following process will be followed.

The Headteacher will consider the local circumstances and specific issues relating to the school. It is his decision whether to close the school. This decision will be made as early as possible (usually by 7am) so that information can be added to the websites listed below and broadcast to the public.
